What a total fucking asshole, Arthur Frost.

That's what she should have thought, and she knew it. It should have been the only thought to go through her head.

She felt embarrassment slide up over her cheeks, getting them hot. But it only lasted a second.

Because if Rachel Elliot was being honest with herself, there was something very changed inside of her.

There was the part of her she thought maybe she should be: the Rachel Elliot of KRTV's human interest stories. The Rachel Elliot everyone assumed could not possibly be the bare-snatched slut fucking a well-hung black man who was definitely not her husband in the video clip on the internet. Rachel Elliot the sweet-faced and good-natured wife of Josh Elliot, who would never ever consider what she was considering now.

But there was a part of Rachel that was getting off – and really, deeply, truly getting off – on the idea of being KRTV's darling, but not wearing any underwear while she filmed her lead-ins and outros. She liked the extremes she was taking sex to with Xavier, and she liked that her husband was watching her. She liked having this alter-ego inside of her. She liked indulging...well, her slut.

The flush across her cheeks faded almost instantly.

She uncrossed her legs, and then crossed them again, channeling Sharon Stone (although, and a small part of her regretted this, she was wearing underwear.) A confidence took over her body, straightening her spine, turning her eyes to mischievous marbles. She could almost see herself from across the room, and she liked what she saw. Not so much for itself. More because it was so not her. No one would believe this Rachel, if they saw her.

It excited her.

In fact, she felt high.

And Arthur, that truly huge sack of shit, lost all his confidence. Just for a second, maybe only half a second. But she saw it, and it surged inside of her.

She moved her eyes over Arthur's chest. He wasn't a terrible-looking guy. And he had an undeniable confidence that Rachel had always felt a slightly hateful attraction to. His steely blue eyes and square jaw under his jet-black hair made him look like a Disney Prince gone slightly off. Like what Prince Charming would be if he had been born a used-car salesman.

She had given some thought to it, once in a while. She liked to tell herself she was utterly repulsed by the idea.

But the new Rachel was a different person.

“Something else,” she said. She bounced her foot around flirtatiously and gave him a dark smile. She watched with pleasure as another quick wave of discomfort flitted over his face. “Let's talk deals then.”

She could see he had no idea what to say.

A thrill coursed through her. She stood up and went around the side of his desk. He spun his chair toward her, and tried to maintain the composure on his face, but it was clear he had no idea how to react.

What a shit. He had probably expected her start crying.
